Steps to Invite Testers via TestFlight

Step 1: Set Up TestFlight in App Store Connect

  • Log into App Store Connect.
  • Select 'My Apps' and choose the app you want to test.
  • Go to the 'TestFlight' tab in the top panel.

Step 2: Prepare Your Build for Testing

  • Select the build you want to test under the 'Builds' section in TestFlight.
  • Provide metadata for the build:
  • Include testing information such as what to focus on during testing, notes on new features, etc.
  • Set the build's availability by specifying start and end dates for testing (optional).

Step 3: Add Testers

Internal Testers: These are users that have roles in your Apple Developer account. You can add up to 100 internal testers. Go to 'App Store Connect Users' and select users to add them to the current build. Roles can be added at 'Access Users and Roles'.

External Testers and Groups: These testers do not need to be part of your development team. You can add up to 10,000 external testers. Go to 'External Groups', and either create a new group or select an existing one. Add testers by entering their email addresses, or import a list of emails. Testers will receive an invitation email from TestFlight.
